From either Item Maintenance or from the order screen, users can go into the Info screen and directly edit history values. The changes made will not affect actual history, but will affect the Alternate History. Alternate history values will be displayed with a yellow background. Hovering over the alternate history value will display the original value as a "tool tip". Unsaved changes will have a grey background.
Once the changes to the history are saved, the forecast values will be immediately recalculated for both the Order and the Item. These alternate history changes are permanent and will persist going forward. Users are able to edit all 36 months of history.
To revert an unsaved value back to the last saved values, either click the Cancel button or highlight the edited value an press the ESC key.
The alternate history edit feature is also being available to Venus users. This allows users of either application to correct anomalous historical sales data that is adversely affecting the forecast.
