Auto Truck

If Point of Origin table has a corresponding entry for the Super Vendor and Location of included items in the Auto Truck process, the Point of Origin dropdown will be populated with the available values. These values can be used to auto-populate the Max Weight, Max Volume, and Build To fields.

Max Weight represents the maximum weight to be allowed on a truck
Max Volume represents the maximum volume to be allowed on a truck
Build To specifies the preference for building a truck (First Needed Date, Weight, Volume). This will control the build process to optimize this value.
Destination/Origin specified how to group items on the order. If Destination is selected, trucks will be built for each location regardless of Origin (multiple pick up points). If Origin is selected, trucks will be built for each vendor (pick up point) regardless of Destination (multiple drop off points).
First Available Date based on the lead time settings, this represents the first available date of delivery for an order placed today.
Substitute Vendor if supplied will replace the current vendor for each item in a truck when Place Order is clicked. The value in the Substitute Vendor field does not clear between trucks. The user must manually clear the field if vendor substitution is no longer desired.

Example Build: Build To: Weight will attempt to get as close to the Max Weight as possible for each truck. The Max Volume (if specified) will not be exceeded for any truck. The truck build process will first sort the items by Destination/Origin as specified. Next the items are sorted by total weight (quantity * item weight). The builder will start to fill the first truck with full units (pallets) based on the lot size 1 and lot size 2 settings for each item (pallet = lot size 1 * lot size 2). if the total weight of the first item is less than the max weight of the truck, all of that item will be included in the truck and the next item will be looked at. Once a truck can no longer take the next full unit because max weight would be exceeded, the builder will check the next item and so on. For each truck the builder will sort the remaining items by the same criteria. This process repeats until all items are on a truck.
